Nyle Hord is the most experienced musician in Dry Creek but he has only been playing with the band since 2003.  His talent is with the fiddle and it has taken him on a lifetime tour of the music world and has allowed him to meet, play and record music with a veritable who’s who of the Nashville, Memphis, New York and L.A. music scenes.  His melodies and fill-ins on the fiddle complete the Dry Creek sound and help define the “Sand Hills music” style. He plays a range of music from Bluegrass to Country Music to Jazz and Texas swing.  His solos are never overstated, always blending with the rest of the band.  He is, by all rights, a fiddle player’s fiddle player.

Nyle makes his home in the Sand Hills south of Marianna.  He repairs fiddles in his spare time.
